Hello! I am Shayla Michelle. I am a Tampa-based artist. I am 22 years old, and am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in general studies. I graduate in May 2025.
I hope to use my diverse techinques, mediums and subject matter to promote Mental Health Awareness, LGBT Rights, Women's Rights, Equality, Equity and Love.
I am truly a multi-modal artist, always looking for new methods, mediums and styles to explore and experiment in.
I mostly specialize in acrylic and watercolor, and prefer that my sketches have been inked and finalized before painting. I also enjoy block print making, textured art, photography, oil painting, sculptures and digital art.
My professional journey began with a passion for art and a determination to make a difference. I am committed to my core values of activism, creativity and inclusivity, and I feel I stand out from the crowd with my unique perspective and style.

In the first photo, Shayla is pictured with the owner of Chill Cawfee in Brandon, Florida, after gifting her Shayla's first community mural. The mural may be simple, but the concept had larger implications for their community. To learn more about the murals concepts and goals, click here.

Shayla painted the back ground and the woman here in about an hour before allowing the community to take control.
This painting is still on display at Chill Cawfee Brandon.

Shayla also has artwork on display in Chill Cawfee in Riverview (pictured to the right), and in Retro House Tampa in Ybor.

Shayla also participates in monthly markets with Hippie Haven LLC, a division of MaddieFruit Inc. MaddieFruit Inc is a non-profit that raises money and awareness for victims of domestic violence.
