Children See; What Inspires You? Community Painting

For the first community painting I did with Hippie Haven Ink LLC and MaddieFruit Inc., I wanted to capture the legacy that is created in our community by art fairs and craft markets. I felt then, and still do now, that these markets showed children that hobbies and passions are not just for children and teens. Many children seem to believe that when you become an adult, you must give up all of your dreams and passions to pursue a more tame life with a dead-end job. Craft fairs, art markets, and similar events inspire children because they show adults as passionate and creative individuals. To expand on this idea and to celebrate what our night and market meant for our community, we all participated in a community painting.

It began with a background and a young woman looking up towards the rest of the canvas, and throughout the night I invited guests to make additions to the work under the prompt "What inspires you?"
